Scandi Inspiration: The International Sailing Helsinki-Tallinna Race
The International Sailing Helsinki-Tallinna Race has been held since 1993. Some Finnish and Estonian sailors in Kalev yacht club in Tallinn came up with the idea to organize the regatta starting in the capital of one state and finishing the next day in the capital of another. With the annual participation of roughly 200 boats, it has been the largest offshore race in Finland for many years. 156 boats from Finland, Russia and Estonia took part in the 24th Helsinki-Tallinna Race in August 2016.
